Because staff, teachers, and volunteers hold positions of trust and influence in our community, we take our vetting process seriously. Before you take on any role, you will need to:

• Complete an application and, where needed, an interview with Ember Society leadership.​

• ​Provide references from within the rope or kink community who can speak to your character and values.

• Sign our Code of Conduct.

• Disclose any prior consent violations, criminal convictions, or bans from other organizations. Leaving this out is grounds for immediate removal.

Your role with Ember Society carries weight beyond our events. We expect you to live these values in your wider community life too — at other events, on social media, and in your personal interactions with community members. Being part of this team is a privilege, and it comes with real responsibility.
